# User Roles and Access in Corunner

> How organization and workspace roles map to what a user can see and do in Corunner: owners, admins, and members across install, agents, memory, and settings.

Corunner has two role systems: **organization roles** for the tenant and **workspace roles** for each connected workspace. Both use the same three tiers, and admin-only surfaces are gated on both the UI and the backend.

## Organization roles

Set when a user is added to the Corunner organization.

| Role | What they can do |
| - | - |
| Owner | Everything an Admin can do, plus billing. Only Owners can manage the plan. |
| Admin | Install and connect workspaces, connect integrations, manage agents and skills, set governance policies, view audit log, manage team and channels. |
| Member | Sign in, chat with `@Corunner`, view enabled agents, browse Memory and Learnings, view Standup history. |

## Workspace roles

Set per connected workspace (Slack workspace or Teams tenant).

| Role | What they can do |
| - | - |
| Owner | Full control of the workspace inside Corunner. |
| Admin | Configure workspace-scoped settings, agents, and standups. |
| Member | Participate in chat and view workspace-scoped surfaces. |

## What is admin-only

The following surfaces are only visible to owners and admins. Members either do not see the tab at all or see it in read-only mode.

* **Settings → Audit Log** — hidden from members.
* **Memory → Review** and **Memory → Insights** — hidden from members.
* **Agents → Roster** — members can see which agents are enabled but cannot toggle them.
* **Agents → Skills** — only admins can add or revert workspace-specific skill overrides.
* **Standups** — only admins can create, edit, pause, resume, or delete standups.
* **Governance → Policies** — only admins can change approval and safety policies.
* **Integrations** — only admins can add, edit, or disconnect connections.

## Installing Corunner

Installing the Corunner app in Slack or Microsoft Teams is enforced by the provider itself:

* **Slack** requires a Slack workspace admin to approve the install.
* **Microsoft Teams** requires a Teams admin to approve the permissions.

If a member reaches the install screen, Corunner shows an **ask your admin** message with a shareable link they can send to the person who can complete the install.

## Billing

Billing is Owner-only. Members and Admins do not see billing pages. This documentation does not cover pricing or plan management. Contact your Corunner Owner or your Corunner account team for plan details.
