# Connect Discord to Corunner for Notifications and Signals

> Engage communities and teams through Discord servers. Corunner posts notifications and reads channel signals; it does not replace Slack or Teams as a chat provider.

Discord is a Direct Connection that lets Corunner post notifications into your Discord server and read channel signals for community awareness. Discord is not one of Corunner's primary chat providers — for that, use [Slack](/chat/slack) or [Microsoft Teams](/chat/microsoft-teams).

## What Corunner does with Discord

Corunner uses Discord to send notifications and pick up community signals, for example when a channel is discussing an outage or a launch. Discord is one-way in most flows: agents post updates in the channels you specify.

## What you get

* Post messages
* Read channels

## Authentication

Connect with OAuth. A Discord admin approves the scopes during the connect flow.

## What breaks if you disconnect

* Notifications
* Community signals

## Manage this connection

Open **Integrations** in the Corunner web app, then find **Discord** under the **Direct Connections** tab.
